Established in 2004

Just as some of the most inspirational and successful companies of our time, MG Remediation, Inc. started with a dream and a one-car garage. After working together in the Environmental Contracting business for over 11 years, our Founders saw the need for an Environmental Contractor that could bring more to their clients. Their dream was to establish a company that could not only offer top-notch environmental services but construction services as well, giving their clients a turn-key experience and a one-stop experience for all of our clients' needs. After attempting to bring this vision to their employers without success, they decided to take over 40 years of combined experience to start MG Remediation, Inc. in 2004.

Today, the dream that started in the garage over 16 years ago has grown into a company that offers our clients much, much more. When others established in the industry said it couldn’t be done, MG has proven a company can diversify their services and still provide exceptional quality and results.

MG is proud of our diverse portfolio of services and continues to bring the latest building science and technology to every job.

Peter Mandel

PRESIDENT

MS, REA, MBA, CMRS, WRT, CRM

Peter Mandel started his professional career within the environmental contracting field, beginning in 1986 as an assistant park ranger. Duties during this stay included minor building construction but considerable carpentry work and field supervision of work crews. This experience provided a good foundation for work within the contracting field. Working with government agencies both as a ranger and as an agricultural inspector provided insight into business organizational structure and policy. It also provided knowledge on handling government business methodologies and contracts.

During Mr. Mandel’s employment with both the county and state agencies, education within the environmental field was diligently pursued. A Bachelor of Science from San Francisco State was first acquired. Thereafter, a Master of Science from the University of San Francisco was obtained. In pursuing knowledge within business, a Master in Business Administration was accomplished with Mr. Mandel graduating with high honors and at the top of his class.

Major work with the environmental contracting field started in 1992 as a project manager for a leading environmental contracting firm. Stationed at Intel Corporation located in Santa Clara, CA, duties included major oversight for all aspects involving chemical or toxic substance removal or stabilization. Work was challenging, with considerable emergency response management. After three years plus at Intel Corporation and ending as a senior project manager, Mr. Mandel began employment with another leading firm within the environmental contracting industry.

During this stay and as a senior project manager/department manager within the industrial services division, major experience and knowledge in all fields related to environmental contracting was attained. All aspects of general contracting, engineering, field assessment of hazard and control, and professional business practice was mastered. The relationships gained within the field were a positive experience.

In 2004, Mr. Mandel started his own environmental contracting company, MG Remediation, Inc. that offers a diverse array of services. His intention was to differentiate this company from all other environmental service company’s by offering a host of specialized and turnkey services. Today, the company is approaching its 3rd decade of service.

Finally, the potentially life-threatening services the industry generates has given Mr. Mandel respect, growth, and maturity in assuring that all health and safety issues will be given top priority in an ethical and professional manner.

Aside from Mr. Mandel’s career accomplishments, he enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, fishing, and the great outdoors.
